The last 6 months have been the toughest of my 27 years. Why? Because I(t) Failed.
I want to begin by saying that I’m not sharing this to get sympathy, nor am I ignorant to the suffering experienced by many far worse off than I (refugees, the terminally ill etc.). This is just me sharing my experience of failure; partly to inform (well, as much as I can), but mostly to accept what’s happened so I can move on.
This quote actually isn't referring to financial liabilities nor is it specific to any demographic. It's in reference to Jane Martin's belief that education needs to evolve to - among other things - offset culture division driven by the media.
You don't (or shouldn't) hire a handyman to clean your toilet, so why enlist an agency that professes to do everything? I mean of course they'll do everything for you (because they won't turn down revenue, right), but they will not do the best job on every single aspect.
"That's what people call successful decision making that happens without a narrative. Intuition isn't guessing. It's sophisticated pattern matching, honed over time. Don't dismiss intuition merely because it's difficult to understand. You can get better at it by practicing." - Seth Godin.
"How things are sold, they're sold by stories. Stories really matter. The way you feel when you wear the products that you wear are predicated on storytelling. They represent who you are. The reason you believe it represents who you are is because stories were told of what that represents to society." @garyvee
We tend to 'meet' those we perceive to be above us in the corporate world in an attempt to impress. But so often we forget to 'meet' those in need to better society. It's a simple philosophy that could make someones day and one that I definitely need to implement more often. MS.
'Content Marketing' has been the hot topic of late. And rightly so. With that said, content incorrectly applied is pointless. It sounds obvious, but a marketer must know their audience and what platform they're conversing on. An omni-channel campaign with a slight change of language where appropriate could be the difference between success and failure. Always remember that content is nothing without context. MS.
